Fidelity Investments Inc., commonly referred to as Fidelity is an American multinational financial services corporation. There was a total of 3 rounds in the process of selection. They are as follows:
The screening test consisted of 4 parts – English, Technical Aptitude, Coding, Algorithm. The test was in online mode and the duration of the test was 120 minutes (2 hours). Once you complete a section you won’t be able to go back. There was no negative marking. We were asked to log in 30 minutes early. Camera and microphone were enabled throughout the test. The test was strictly monitored online and navigating from tabs was prohibited
Unlike many other companies, Fidelity had a section for English rather than aptitude. In this section, questions on general grammar like tenses, collective nouns, etc. were asked in fill in the blanks type and the topics Error Detection in sentences, Sentence Arrangement and Reading Comprehension were asked in MCQ type.
In this section, questions on Basic Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, OOPS (Object Oriented Programming) and Networks were asked. The topics Data Structures, OOPS and Basic Programming had more weightage. The questions were of MCQ type
Two coding questions were asked. The level of those questions was from easy to medium. The languages allowed were C++, Java and Python. The program is considered to be solved if the code solves all the test cases provided.
We were asked to write algorithms for two problems. I wrote the algorithm in simple English step by step. No code is required
This was a face-to-face interview that took place for around 30 minutes. I was asked to give an introduction about myself first (“Tell me about yourself”). Then based on that and my resume, further questions were asked. Questions were asked on the topics OOPS, Python and C. Questions on Machine Learning were asked as I had it mentioned in my resume. I was also asked about the project that I had mentioned in my resume. The questions asked based on my project made the interviewer sure that I knew everything about it.
This round took place for around 10 minutes. This was also a face-to-face interview round. I was asked to give an introduction about myself first (“Tell me about yourself”). I was then asked about the project that I mentioned in my resume. I was then asked which branch of the company do I prefer and what will I do if I don’t get the desired branch. I was also asked about my learning capacity of a new language
I was selected as an intern and then it was converted into a Full Time Offer
